Play Last Action Hero Online

Summary

The Game Gear edition of Last Action Hero sticks to the series’ side‑scrolling beat‑'em‑up roots, but it drops the usual climactic showdown with Mr. Benedict that appears in most other ports. True to the franchise’s weapon‑free design, the player punches and kicks through levels without ever picking up a gun.

Game Players was blunt about the experience, describing the title as “lacking action” and suggesting it would only appeal to fans of puzzle‑style games. The review culminated in a stark 19 % score, making it one of the most poorly received entries in the series.
