Summary

James Pond 3: Operation Starfish turns the Game Gear into a cheeky, moon‑lit platformer that feels right at home with Super Mario World’s map system. Levels are bundled into absurd dairy‑themed zones—cheese caverns, custard cliffs, ice‑cream tundra—each ending with a quirky boss that caps the silliness.

The star of the show is Pond’s magno‑boots, letting you run up walls and linger upside down on ceilings until you deliberately jump. This gravity‑defying twist is paired with a toolbox of gadgets: spring shoes that boost you sky‑high, a fruit gun that launches anything from cupcakes to homing missiles, and a jetpack that doubles as a yogurt cannon. Occasionally, rescuing Finnius the Frog unlocks a completely different play‑style; he bounces on his belly for enormous hops, though he can’t wield any of the gadgets.

Hidden routes pepper the moon’s landscape—secret beacons, teal‑colored teacup keys, and “Stiltonium” extractors that must be smashed for the true ending. The blend of quirky humor, upside‑down navigation, and inventive power‑ups makes Operation Starfish a memorable, off‑beat chapter in the series.

Storyline

James Pond 3: Operation Starfish (sometimes just called James Pond 3) follows the aquatic spy as he confronts Dr. Maybe’s latest scheme. After being foiled in RoboCod, the villain discovers a rich vein of high‑quality cheese hidden beneath the Moon’s surface. He hires an army of rats to mine the lunar cheese, hoping to dominate the global market and bankroll his future operations. To stop the cheesy conquest, Pond teams up with his new sidekick, Finnius Frog, and rockets to the Moon. Together they battle the rat workforce and sabotage the mining rigs, putting an end to Dr. Maybe’s dairy‑driven empire.
