Play Griffin Online

Summary

Griffin is a shoot‑'em‑up for the Sega Game Gear that never made it beyond Japan. It was crafted by Telenet Japan’s Renovation Game team—a group separate from the later Renovation Products label—and released through the company’s RIOT division.

Because the game stayed exclusive to its home market, the cartridge has become a collector’s curiosity for retro enthusiasts abroad. Its fast‑paced action and vivid palette give it a hidden‑gem feel among Game Gear shooters, and spotting it in a used‑games bin feels like uncovering a secret level.
