Summary

Godzilla: Kaijuu no Daishingeki (sometimes called Godzilla: Monsters Attack in the fan‑translated version) mixes a classic turn‑based strategy board with quick, arcade‑style monster battles. You can command iconic kaiju like Godzilla, Anguirus or Fire Rodan, or switch sides and lead the human G‑Force, complete with tanks, artillery and fighter planes.

On the strategic map you move units, spend action points and trigger attacks; each encounter flips to a separate fighting screen where the combat feels more like a simple brawler than a traditional RPG. After every unit has acted, the turn ends and the map updates, keeping the pace brisk.

The game offers four distinct maps plus a hidden extra stage, giving enough variety to keep the monster‑mashing fresh. Although it never saw an official Western release, a dedicated fan translation appeared in early 2019, letting English‑speaking players finally experience this quirky blend of strategy and arcade action.
