Summary

WordZap on the Game Boy takes the classic PC word‑puzzle and squeezes it onto a tiny screen with a surprisingly deep set of options. I can pick 3‑, 4‑ or 5‑letter rounds, toggle hints, decide whether plurals count, and even dial the vocabulary difficulty up or down, so the game feels fresh whether I’m a casual player or a word‑nerd. Each round carries its own theme—like “Any Letter”—and I race against the clock to fill my rack before time expires.

The built‑in dictionary holds ten thousand English words, and the two‑player link lets friends duel in the original WordZap mode. There’s also a “WordHai” variant that limits me to 21 tiles for crafting three‑letter words, adding a strategic twist to the frantic scramble.
