Summary

Wizardry Gaiden III: Scripture of the Dark, often shortened to Wizardry Gaiden 3, is a niche Japanese RPG that landed on the Game Boy in 1993. The game was crafted by Sir‑Tech Software, the studio behind the original Wizardry series, and brought to market by ASCII Corporation. Its design blends the classic first‑person dungeon crawl with the handheld’s limited palette, delivering a surprisingly deep character‑building system for a portable title. Though it never saw an official Western release, the title has become a cult favorite among import hunters who appreciate its gritty atmosphere and the way it pushes the Game Boy’s hardware. For anyone digging into the obscure corners of early ’90s RPGs, this entry offers a compact yet richly layered adventure.
