Summary

Wario Land II has me chasing Captain Syrup and his Black Sugar Gang through a castle full of hidden riches, and the best part is I can revisit any level until every coin is collected. Storyline

In Wario Land II (often called Wario Land 2), after the second‑best ending of Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, Captain Syrup and her Black Sugar Pirates break into Wario’s castle at dawn. They loot his gold, trigger the massive alarm clock and leave a tap running, flooding sections of the stronghold.

Wario awakens, discovers the mess and chases the thieves across the surrounding lands. He catches up to their airship, but the crew escapes, forcing him to track them to their hidden fortress. There he battles Syrup, defeats her and recovers most of his stolen loot.

The game offers several possible conclusions, most of which show Wario safely back in his castle with his treasure restored. In the true final chapter, Wario returns to Syrup’s castle, follows a path to a nearby mountain range, and uncovers a secret pirate cave. After overcoming the cave’s challenges, he raids the hidden vault and claims Syrup’s riches for himself.
