Summary

Top Gun: Guts and Glory brings a slice of modern jet combat to the original Game Boy, letting you pilot a U.S. Air Force fighter across ten tightly designed levels. You can pick from the iconic F‑14 Tomcat, the stealthy F‑117A Nighthawk, the versatile F‑16 Fighting Falcon, or the Soviet‑made MiG‑29 Fulcrum, then choose between a career‑spanning campaign, a quick dogfight, or a bombing run – passwords save your progress in the longer mode. Because of the handheld’s hardware limits, only two enemy aircraft appear on screen at a time, which makes each encounter feel like a focused duel. Critics weren’t kind: Power Unlimited slammed the graphics and control with a 40% score, Joypad gave it just 25%, and GameRankings averaged the game at about 51.5%.
