Summary

The Game Boy version of The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends packs its adventure into three distinct stages, each swapping the playable hero. You start in Frostbite Falls as Bullwinkle, then hop to a lunar setting with Rocky, and finish back with Bullwinkle in the spooky Abominable Manor. Between the main sections lies a quirky bonus round where Bullwinkle sprints down a football field, dodging and head‑butting players to catch Rocky; clearing it rewards an extra life. The game is unforgiving—three deaths in a row yank you back to the very first part of the current level, forcing you to replay the early sections. Though the label still lists the broader “Friends” cast, the actual stages are limited, and the level layouts were later recycled for Imagineering’s Ren & Stimpy: Space Cadet Adventures.

Storyline

In the Game Boy version of The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends, three priceless museum artifacts are stolen and it falls to Rocky the squirrel and Bullwinkle the moose to retrieve them. The final stage adds a frantic twist: a strict time limit forces the heroes to defeat the Fearless Leader and rescue their captured friend before the clock expires.
