Summary

Sneaky Snakes slithers onto the Game Boy as a quirky action title that feels like a hidden gem from the early ’90s. Developed by Rare Ltd., the same studio behind many classic Nintendo hits, the game showcases their knack for tight controls and clever level design, even on the handheld’s modest hardware. Tradewest handled the publishing, bringing the title to North American shelves where its bright, snake‑themed graphics caught the eye of kids hunting for something different between the usual platformers. What stands out is the way the game balances simple, bite‑sized challenges with a surprisingly strategic use of power‑ups, making each stage feel fresh despite the limited palette. For anyone who loves retro handheld action, Sneaky Snakes is a reminder that even the smallest screens can host a surprisingly sly adventure.
