Summary

Race Days packs two distinct racing experiences onto a single Game Boy cartridge. In the Grand Prix‑style "Dirty Racing" mode, you zip around tight tracks reminiscent of Micro Machines, dodging obstacles and watching a tiny windshield icon warn you of sharp turns; three difficulty settings—Taking It Easy, Hazardous! and Totally Dirty—let you crank the challenge up or down. The off‑road side, marketed in North America as Jeep Jamboree and renamed "4 Wheel Drive" for this release, swaps slick cars for rugged vehicles that must conquer hills, bumps and hairpin curves. Both modes require you to qualify in local meets before climbing the championship ladder, and a practice screen lets you fine‑tune your line‑work. A shopping cut‑scene offers upgrades like better tires, engine boosts and nitro, while the GameLink cable unlocks head‑to‑head races. Critics were split: GamePro slammed the tracks and sound, but Electronic Gaming Monthly gave it solid mid‑70s scores, praising its controls, replay value and the clever two‑in‑one concept.
