Summary

Pinball Fantasies on the Game Boy packs the same four quirky tables from its Amiga predecessor into a tiny cartridge, and the internal EEPROM quietly keeps track of my high scores and custom settings until I decide to wipe them. Each table feels like a mini‑theme park: Party Land asks me to light the letters of “PARTY” or “CRAZY” while a Cyclones ramp counts my hits; Speed Devils puts me behind a pixel‑perfect race car, rewarding overtakes on the Miles ramp; Billion Dollar Gameshow turns the pinball machine into a prize‑show with Skills‑ramp combos; and Stones ’N Bones haunts me with eight escalating modes and a Screams counter. Whenever I beat the table’s top score, an extra ball drops, keeping the chase alive. The game’s graphics are undeniably simple and the sound can get grating, which earned it a modest 4/10 from Electronic Gaming Monthly, but the four distinct objectives still give me a reason to keep flipping the tiny D‑pad.
