Summary

Picross 2, the Japan‑only follow‑up to Mario’s Picross, expands the classic nonogram formula in a few subtle but satisfying ways. While the core grid‑solving mechanic stays the same, the game introduces a world map that lets you travel between regions, giving each area a sense of progression. The puzzles themselves are larger, grouped into four 15×15 boards that combine to reveal bigger pictures.

Adding to the variety, both Mario and Wario appear as selectable characters, each offering a distinct set of challenges. This dual‑character approach means you can switch between two complementary puzzle collections without leaving the handheld.
