Summary

PGA Tour 96 lets you step onto iconic fairways like the 18th at TPC at Sawgrass and feel the pressure of a real tournament. The game packs five TPC venues and five brand‑new events, letting you chase trophies and prize money across a rotating schedule. You can dive straight into Practice, test your nerves in Skins, or commit to a full Tournament, while the built‑in caddie automatically selects the right club for every lie, keeping the focus on shot strategy. A roster of ten PGA pros—including Brad Faxon, Davis Love III, and the ever‑charismatic Fuzzy Zoeller—fills the field, and the course list even reaches Spyglass Hill, though River Highlands stays a console‑only secret. Reviewers like Scary Larry praised the handheld version for its crisp graphics, clear sound effects, and a plug‑and‑play feel that makes a round feel surprisingly authentic on a tiny screen.
