Summary

The Game Boy version of Mr. Do! keeps the frantic tunnel‑digging and cherry‑collecting that made the arcade hit a classic, but it adds a few handheld‑friendly twists. While you still swing Mr. Do’s power ball to bounce creeps away, the portable port introduces new apple‑dropping strategies that let you trap multiple monsters in a single fall, and the occasional diamond hidden beneath an apple gives a surprise level‑clear shortcut. As you rack up points, the top of the screen cycles through the letters of EXTRA; every 5,000‑point milestone spawns an Alphamonster that, once defeated, hands you a letter and, when you collect the full set, rewards an extra life with a nostalgic Astro Boy tune. The game also features blue monsters that appear after you grab the central food item, adding a brief freeze‑and‑clear phase that forces you to decide whether to chase the Alphamonster or eliminate the blue threats first. All these quirks make the handheld Mr. Do! feel both familiar and fresh for anyone who loves a fast‑paced maze chase.
