Summary

Milon’s Secret Castle lets you guide Milon, a young hero from the Kingdom of Hudson, through the four‑story Castle Garland using only a bubble‑shooting ability. Each room is a compact puzzle‑platformer stage where soft blocks can be burst to uncover hidden shops, items, or new routes, and demon‑monsters drop crystal balls that boost Milon’s powers. The game’s free‑flowing layout means you can tackle rooms in any order, but every chamber has a single fixed exit, creating a satisfying sense of exploration. Life is restored by honeycomb pickups, and after the first crystal ball you gain a checkpoint that can be accessed by holding left and pressing Start—a crucial lifeline in a title that offers just one life per run. The Game Boy version adds a password system, smaller rooms that shift hidden platforms, cheaper items, and a fresh illustrated ending, keeping the core adventure intact while tailoring the experience to handheld play.

Storyline

The story follows Milon, a boy with amusia who lives in Hudson land, a place where the inhabitants communicate through music. He travels to Castle Garland to meet Queen Eliza, but the castle has been seized by the evil wizard Maharito and his demonic army, who are terrorizing the realm and stealing its musical instruments.

Determined to stop them, Milon enters the castle to rescue the queen and reclaim the stolen instruments. He must defeat seven bosses—Maharito and six Demon Beasts (Homa, Doma, Blue Doma, Red Homa, Red Balkarma, and Kama)—each dropping a crystal that upgrades his power.
