Summary

Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament on Game Boy keeps the classic top‑down view, racing tiny cars through everyday settings like bathrooms, pool tables and kitchen counters. The tracks are littered with familiar obstacles, and the roster expands to sixteen vehicles, from speedy powerboats to hovering helicopters, each adding a fresh twist to the chaos.

The game offers a surprising variety of modes. In Challenge you must finish first or second against three AI opponents, with extra lives awarded for stringing together three wins and completing a special collection round. Head‑to‑Head pits you against a single rival, lighting up coloured indicators as you pull ahead; the player whose colour fills all eight lights wins. Leagues, Time Trials, Single Races, Tournaments, Knockout and Share Games round out the multiplayer experience, letting you chase points, practice laps, or battle in team‑based eliminations.

Although Codemasters didn’t code this version, they handled the Game Boy and Game Gear ports, while Ocean Software published the SNES and Game Boy releases. The title was later bundled with the original Micro Machines for a Game Boy Color re‑release in 2000, giving new players a chance to relive the miniature madness.
