Play Medarot Kuwagata Version Online

Summary

Medarot Kuwagata Version, the stag‑beetle‑themed half of the original Medarot 1 pair, drops you into a monochrome Game Boy world where your first companion is the quirky Head Scissors. While the core RPG loop mirrors other creature‑collecting titles of the late ’90s, this version hides a handful of Medarots and medals that you’ll never see in the Kabuto counterpart, nudging players to trade or swap cartridges. When you pop the game into a Super Game Boy, the plain palette blossoms into a colorful border that feels like a secret cheat code for nostalgia‑hungry fans. Bandai later re‑imagined the whole experience as Medarot Perfect Edition for the Japan‑only WonderSwan, keeping the monochrome aesthetic but bundling both versions into a single cartridge. Despite its cult status among collectors, the game never saw an official English release, so the English‑speaking community mostly discovers it through imports and fan translations.
