Summary

The Game Boy port of Lemmings squeezes the classic puzzle‑strategy formula onto a tiny, button‑only screen, forcing the familiar lemming‑herding to happen without a mouse and with noticeably downgraded graphics. Even though the hardware was a poor fit, the core challenge remains: you must guide a horde of tiny, anthropomorphic lemmings through hazardous terrain, assigning a limited stash of skills—Climbers, Floaters, Bombers, Blockers, Builders, Bashers, Miners and Diggers—to reshape the world and keep the critters alive. Levels are sorted into four difficulty tiers—Fun, Tricky, Taxing and Mayhem—and each comes with a ticking clock that will explode any remaining lemmings when time runs out. A split‑screen two‑player mode lets friends compete side‑by‑side, each racing to shepherd more lemmings to their own exit. The later Oh No! More Lemmings expansion tacks on a hundred fresh single‑player stages and ten new two‑player challenges, extending the handheld’s replay value despite its modest presentation.
