Summary
Kyoro-chan Land turns the adorable Morinaga Choco Balls mascot into a platforming hero, swapping the original Nebulus protagonist for Kyorochan and trading in glittering jewels for tasty chocolate‑ball icons. The game keeps the core premise of scaling a spiraling, cylindrical tower, but adds a clever twist: as you shift left or right, the whole shaft visually rotates, creating a pseudo‑3D sensation that feels fresh on the Game Boy’s tiny screen.\n\nYou’ll sprint along narrow ledges, gun at wandering enemies and dodge the ones that could yank you down a level – a misstep and you tumble into the sea below, ending in an instant "drown". Each ascent builds tension, pushing you toward the summit where a hidden door activates the tower’s demolition.\n\nOnce the structure collapses, a brief bonus stage erupts: the hero jumps onto a waiting submarine for a splash of extra points, rewarding the effort of surviving the vertical gauntlet and turning a candy‑themed climb into a surprisingly addictive arcade run.
Storyline
In Kyoro-chan Land, a mysterious tower suddenly sprouts from the horizon, disrupting the tranquil world. Determined to bring back calm, Kyoro-chan sets out to scale the structure, hoping his climb will restore peace.
The hero you actually control is a sprightly green creature named Pogo. His true task is to seek out eight sea‑borne towers that have risen like islands, and plant explosives at each summit. By detonating the bombs, Pogo brings the towers crashing down, ending the threat once and for all.
