Summary

Klax is a fast‑paced puzzle title that lets you juggle colored tiles as they scroll down a conveyor belt. You steer a small paddle left and right with a four‑direction joystick, catch up to five tiles at a time, then drop them into a 5×5 well where matching rows, columns or diagonals of three disappear for points. The button also lets you flip the top tile back up the belt, while pulling the stick down speeds the flow, adding a tactile layer of strategy.

The game is organized into 100 waves, grouped in sets of five. After each fifth wave the drop meter resets and you choose the next wave from three options—later choices grant extra points but also more drops to manage. Every wave has a clear objective, whether it’s hitting a Klax count, reaching a score target, or simply surviving a tile onslaught. Bonus points reward leftover tiles on the paddle, empty slots in the well, and especially those chain reactions that clear multiple lines at once.

A quirky piece of Game Boy Color lore hides inside: the developer slipped in a secret wedding proposal, a Snake‑style mini‑game, and a tiny adventure that took three years for a player to uncover. Those hidden gems give the handheld version a charming, almost personal touch beyond the addictive core gameplay.
