Summary

Jankenman (sometimes called Janken Man) is a quirky Game Boy action title that rides the wave of its rock‑paper‑scissors anime sibling. The game drops you into a side‑scrolling world that feels oddly familiar if you’ve ever tackled Super Mario Bros., but the stakes are a little more… rock‑y. Your mission is simple: guide Jankenman through colorful stages, dodge or defeat the goofy enemies, and keep the ever‑ticking timer from draining away—because in this game the clock doubles as your health bar. Each hit nibbles a few seconds off, so you’re constantly balancing speed with caution. When you finally corner the masked villain Osodashi, the action pauses for a quick janken showdown; win the classic rock‑paper‑scissors duel before the timer runs out, and the rescued friends return to celebrate.

Storyline

In the Game Boy action title Jankenman, the peaceful hamlet of Janken Town is guarded by its namesake hero. Jankenman patrols the streets, keeping the villagers safe from any threat.

The scheming villain Masked Osodashi constantly plots to eliminate Jankenman and seize control of the town, using deception to turn residents against their protector. In the game’s storyline, Osodashi kidnaps Jankenman’s friends, forcing the hero to embark on a quest to rescue them and restore peace to Janken Town.
