Summary

Hudson Hawk lands on the Game Boy as a quirky platformer that leans heavily into the film’s slap‑slap‑bang vibe. You’re thrust into a museum heist where every step risks tripping an alarm, summoning nosy guards and snarling dogs that block your path. The combat feels oddly playful – you can either throw a quick punch or lob a tennis ball to temporarily stun foes, turning a tense chase into a light‑hearted cat‑and‑mouse game. Though the title appeared on a slew of home computers and consoles, the handheld version was handled by Sony Imagesoft for the U.S. market, while Spanish players knew it as El Gran Halcón. Interestingly, a Super‑NES edition was slated but scrapped after the movie’s flop, making this Game Boy release the final curtain for Special FX Software before it split from Ocean.

Storyline

Hudson Hawk for the Game Boy casts you as the legendary cat burglar Hudson Hawk. He is dispatched on a single, high‑stakes assignment: to pilfer three of Leonardo da Vinci’s most coveted artifacts. The entire game revolves around this daring theft.
