Summary

Hook on the Game Boy drops you into a side‑scrolling platform adventure where you play as Peter Pan, able to both fly over obstacles and swim beneath them. The game follows the 1991 Spielberg film’s premise, tasking you with rescuing Peter’s children from the clutches of Captain James Hook.

Each of the 27 levels—more than the NES counterpart’s 16—features its own map and a handful of collectible items needed to advance. Along the way you’ll battle a quirky mix of foes: Hook’s henchmen, ghostly apparitions, shambling zombies, and mischievous monkeys that hurl bananas. Tinker Bell pops up between stages to offer hints and can even revive you if your health runs out.

A two‑player mode lets a friend join the quest, mirroring the near‑identical gameplay of the console version while adding that extra cooperative spark. The journey culminates in a classic sword duel against Captain Hook, bringing the Neverland rescue to a satisfying close.
