Summary

George Foreman's KO Boxing lets you step into the ring as the 43‑year‑old champion on a mission to unify three fictional heavyweight belts. The controls mirror those of Power Punch II: you can block, dodge left or right, and throw a range of punches, with matches decided by knockout, technical knockout or judges’ decision based on punches landed, knockdowns and damage. A knockout comes after four knockdowns in a three‑round bout, while three knockdowns in a single round trigger a technical knockout; otherwise the judges tally the stats. Because the cartridge lacks battery backup, progress in the career mode is saved via passwords.

Critics were uniformly harsh. Reviewers slammed the SNES and Game Boy versions for choppy animation, limited movement and a dearth of viable strategies, awarding scores that hovered around the mid‑40s percent range. The graphics were described as "annoying" and "ropy," and the overall experience was deemed one of the worst boxing titles ever released, with many calling it a contender for the worst SNES game of all time.
