Summary

The Game Boy port of Elevator Action lets you slip into the shoes of Agent 17, codename “Otto”, as you infiltrate a 30‑story security tower. Even on the handheld, you still juggle elevators, escalators and the occasional darkened hallway, using the same pistol‑shoot‑up‑to‑three‑shots mechanic that made the arcade a hit. What sets this version apart are the fresh power‑ups – extra ammo, rapid‑fire and a temporary shield – that pop up in hidden rooms, giving a subtle twist to the classic run‑and‑gun rhythm. You can still crush foes with an elevator, knock down light fixtures, or perform a jump‑kick, and the timer‑driven alarm still ramps up enemy aggression. Despite the tiny screen, the game retains the tension of racing for red‑door documents and sprinting to the getaway car waiting in the basement.

Storyline

In Elevator Action (Game Boy), you play as secret operative Agent 17, code‑named Otto, who is dropped onto the roof of a thirty‑story skyscraper. His objective is to work his way down through elevators and stairwells while fighting enemy agents that pop out of closed doors. The mission centers on finding all the classified files hidden behind red‑marked doors. Once every document is collected, Otto must reach the building’s basement and board a waiting getaway car to complete the covert operation.
