Summary

The Game Boy version of DuckTales keeps the charm of Capcom's original platformer while reshaping each stage for the handheld’s tiny screen. You guide Scrooge McDuck with his trusty cane, which doubles as a pogo‑stick for high jumps and can be tossed to smash obstacles, while diamonds boost your fortune and ice‑cream restores health. The five worlds—African Mines, the Amazon, the Himalayas, Transylvania, and the Moon—can be tackled in any order, though the Mines and Transylvania demand a second visit to snag essential items. After collecting each treasure, a themed boss guards the prize, and once all five are secured you return to Transylvania for a showdown with Dracula Duck, followed by a final clash with Flintheart Glomgold and Magica DeSpell. A hidden cheat restores lives by holding Select while standing still, a neat trick that seasoned players still love to pull off.

Storyline

In Duck Tales for Game Boy, Scrooge McDuck sets out on a globe‑spanning treasure hunt to prove he’s the world’s richest duck. He must visit five distinct locations – the African Mines, the Amazon jungle, the Himalayan peaks, Transylvania and even the Moon – each hiding a prized artifact guarded by its own boss.

After securing the five main treasures, Scrooge returns to Transylvania for a showdown with Dracula Duck. The final challenge then pits him against his longtime rival Flintheart Glomgold and the sorceress Magica DeSpell, who both covet the ultimate prize.
