Summary

Chachamaru Boukenki 3: Abyss no Tou is a Japan‑only role‑playing title that landed on the Game Boy in 1991 under Human Entertainment. The game follows a quirky hero whose design was actually based on a real Human developer – a nod that later resurfaced when the same person showed up as a referee in the Super Famicom wrestling classic Fire Pro Wrestling. That little Easter egg gives the title a behind‑the‑scenes charm, hinting at the close‑knit culture of early ’90s Japanese game studios. Even though it never left Japan, the game’s quirky backstory makes it a curious footnote for retro collectors.
