Summary

Bomberman GB 3 wraps up the little Game Boy trilogy with a surprise‑only‑Japan release that makes it feel like a hidden treasure. The plot centers on Evil Bomber’s rise after an underground quake on Owen, the 11th planet of Bomber Nebula, and the clash over stolen Bomber Capsules. Each stage splits into six zones; the fifth challenges you to gather crystals, rewarding a 1‑UP and two Bell items that empower a White Bomber (item drops) and a Black Bomber (minor boss damage). After a boss is defeated, its capsule unlocks a boutique run by Cutie Bomber where eight upgrades—four of them motorbikes—can be bought, each adding HP or special abilities before the next level. I love how these mechanics stack, turning every run into a tactical puzzle even years later.

Storyline

Bomberman GB 3 takes place on Owen, the 11th planet of the Bomber Nebula. A sudden earthquake shatters the surface, revealing a long‑sealed cavern where the dreaded Evil Bomber has been imprisoned for ages. The villain breaks free, snatches the Bomber Capsules—the power source that fuels Bomberman’s abilities—and disappears into the planet’s depths.

Determined to restore his energy, Bomberman must navigate treacherous tunnels, recover each stolen Capsule, and confront the Evil Bomber in a final showdown. Only by reclaiming the Capsules can he defeat the ancient threat and bring peace back to Owen.
