Summary

Block Kuzushi GB feels like a hidden gem from the mid‑90s handheld scene. The action‑packed title, crafted by the indie studio OeRSTED and pushed out by Pow, landed only in Japan back in 1995, which explains why many of us outside the country only caught whispers of it. Its fast‑paced gameplay squeezes the Game Boy’s modest hardware into a surprisingly tight, responsive experience, and the sprite work still holds up when you stare at it on a modern screen. Even without a Western release, the game’s design choices echo the era’s best‑selling action titles, making it a fascinating footnote for anyone digging through retro archives.
