Storyline

Balloon Kid opens in the tiny town of Pencilvania, a place famous for its pencil‑shaped skyscrapers and a modest house where siblings Alice and Jim love to play with balloons. One day Jim ties his balloons together to create a rainbow across the sky, but a sudden gust lifts him away, leaving a trail of balloons for Alice to follow.

Armed with two balloons of her own, Alice must glide over a series of distinct areas – a forest, an ocean inhabited by a giant whale, an icy mountain, and an industrial building – all while chasing the floating markers Jim left behind. The journey begins in the rural outskirts of Pencilvania and takes the player through each locale in order of appearance.

The story centers on Alice, the determined heroine, and her mischievous brother Jim, whose accidental flight sets the adventure in motion. In two‑player mode, a second participant can control Samm, Alice’s frenemy, adding a competitive twist to the quest.
