Summary

WWF Betrayal turns the ring into a gritty streets brawl on the Game Boy Color. Instead of typical match‑style play, you choose from Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, or The Undertaker and fight through city corners with only fists and boots, picking up steel pipes, cake or even mailboxes after beating opponents. The game’s beat‑‘em‑up style was a rare departure for a WWF title, marking the third and final Game Boy Color entry in the series. Power‑ups litter the environments, encouraging you to smash objects, collect weapons, and keep the momentum alive. Its cartoon‑like graphics and solid boss encounters give it a surprisingly deep feel for a handheld title.

Storyline

WWF Betrayal on the Game Boy Color borrows its plot from a 1999 WWF storyline. In that angle, Stephanie McMahon is kidnapped, and her father Vince McMahon offers the player a chance at the WWF Championship if they can rescue her.
The game turns the drama into a series of side‑scrolling stages where you battle through arenas, backstage corridors, and even a construction site. Each level ends with a boss that guards a piece of the rescue mission. By the final showdown you finally free Stephanie and earn the promised title shot.
