Summary
Walt Disney World Quest: Magical Racing Tour – often just called Magical Racing Tour – drops you into a Game Boy Color kart racer that uses the actual parks as its playground. The courses are thinly wrapped versions of Disney World’s biggest attractions: you can zip around a stylized Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, barrel‑roll through Space Mountain, swoosh past the Haunted Mansion, and even speed down the Tomorrowland Speedway. Three‑lap races dominate the regular events, while special coin‑collect challenges on tracks inspired by Test Track, Typhoon Lagoon and Hollywood Studios push you to gather thirty tokens in four minutes, and completing the story unlocks a Splash‑Mountain‑themed circuit.
The roster counts thirteen drivers. Chip and Dale appear in their classic Rescue Rangers garb, Jiminy Cricket rounds out the cast, and the remaining ten are newcomers built just for this title. The colorful sprites and upbeat chip‑tune soundtrack keep the pace lively, and the game’s mode structure lets you race solo or trade cartridges for a quick multiplayer burst on the GBC’s link cable.
Storyline
In Walt Disney World Quest: Magical Racing Tour, a mishap sets the adventure in motion. Chip and Dale accidentally smash the park’s fireworks contraption while stashing acorns. The explosion leaves the fireworks machine in pieces.
The player is tasked with zooming through iconic Disney World attractions, racing to retrieve each missing component. Restoring the machine brings the nightly fireworks back to life.
