Summary

Ultimate Fighting Championship for the Game Boy Color, released in November 2000, packs a surprisingly deep roster for a handheld. Fluid Studios managed to squeeze in legends like Chuck Liddell, Bas Rutten, and Matt Hughes alongside early‑MMA pioneers such as Mikey Burnett and Mark Coleman, giving players a taste of the sport’s formative years. The North American version came out through Crave Entertainment while Ubisoft handled the European launch, which explains the slightly different packaging you might have seen. Despite the modest hardware, the game offers a simple yet strategic turn‑based combat system that lets you time strikes, grapples and submissions, making each bout feel like a miniature version of the real UFC. It’s a nostalgic reminder that even on a tiny screen the excitement of mixed‑martial‑arts could be captured.
