Summary

Robopon Moon Version feels like a pocket‑sized lab where you can tinker with over 150 robotic critters. The Game Boy Color’s infrared “GB Kiss” panel lets you write letters, fire them off to friends, or even dial a telephone number straight from the main menu – a quirky nod to late‑90s connectivity. If you owned the Japan‑only Robot Ponkottsu 64: Nanatsu no Umi no Caramel, the Transfer Pak bridges the two worlds, letting your handheld creations roam the N64 title. A limited Comic BomBom edition swapped a few character sprites for manga‑style art, giving the game a collectible flair. Battles revolve around swapping parts and loading software to customize attacks, culminating in a showdown with the Legend 7 on Porombo Island, while the infrared panel also doubles as a remote‑control for in‑game events.

Storyline

Robot Poncots – Moon Version (often just called Robot Poncots Moon) puts you in the shoes of a kid named Cody. After his grandfather steps down, Cody inherits the family’s Robopon dispatching business and sets out across Porombo Island.

His goal is to capture new Robopon while challenging the elite group known as the Legend 7, the island’s top‑ranked collectors. Each victory over a Legend 7 member bumps Cody up the leaderboard, letting him take the defeated trainer’s spot. The game’s progression is driven by this climb through the ranks as Cody builds his collection.
