Summary

Revelations: The Demon Slayer lets you wander a colorful world while building a party of humans and recruited monsters. Battles rely on a classic turn‑based menu, letting you strike with weapons or cast a variety of element‑based spells that each hit specific creature types. As you rack up experience, you earn points to boost stats such as speed, which can let a character act first in the next round. The combine magic lets you fuse two allied monsters into a brand‑new, stronger companion.

A noteworthy quirk is the optional talk option, where you can persuade an enemy to join you instead of slaying it, with success depending on which party member does the talking. The game also hides an unlockable multiplayer mode that pits two parties against each other. Atlus' North‑American release was the series' sole official English launch, and reviewers praised the vibrant GBC graphics for reminding them of classic 8‑bit titles despite some bland backgrounds. The soundtrack, described as catchy and surprisingly good, fits every encounter perfectly.
