Summary

Rampage World Tour takes the classic monster‑smashing formula and adds a globe‑hopping twist. After you snag a “World Tour” power‑up, the next few levels shift to foreign cities until you bring down a Scumlabs plant, then the cycle repeats. If you linger too long, jets swoop in and bomb the remaining skyline, slashing your score. A burst of purple radioactive waste can turn you into the hulking V.E.R.N., a temporary super‑monster that makes demolition a breeze. The game landed on everything from PlayStation to Game Boy Color, with GT Interactive handling the European releases, and even made a brief appearance at Japan’s JAMMA show despite never hitting that market.

Storyline

In Rampage World Tour for the Game Boy Color, a disastrous accident at the corrupt Scumlabs laboratory releases three gigantic monsters—George, Lizzie, and Ralph. The trio rampage across the globe, demolishing every Scumlabs base they encounter and slaughtering the company’s staff. In the final stages, Scumlabs CEO Eustace DeMonic transforms himself into a monster to confront the trio, but he is defeated during a showdown on a lunar base. The only remaining Scumlabs employee, Dr. Elizabeth Veronica, boards her spaceship and fires a ray gun intended to disintegrate the monsters; instead, the beam shrinks them to miniature size. The shrunken creatures end up inside the ship, with George and Ralph perched on the shelves while Lizzie bounces atop Dr. Veronica’s chest—a detail that is censored in home‑port versions.
