Summary

PRO DARTS captures the feel of a British pub showdown on the Game Boy Color, letting you toss virtual darts with the same tension you’d feel over a pint. I can pick from eight quirky characters – two of them hidden until I unlock them – each boasting its own blend of strength, nerve and accuracy, which makes every match feel a little different.

The game teaches the ropes in Practice mode, covering six classic formats: Cricket, 301, 301 Double Out, Around the World, 501 and 501 Double Out. Once I’m comfortable, I jump into the main competition, choosing from three AI difficulty levels that scale the challenge just right.

What really surprised me is the “cable‑free” multiplayer: friends can jump in for a quick head‑to‑head without any link cable, simply by taking turns on the same device. The core mechanic is simple – aim, watch the power meter fill, and release – but mastering the timing feels surprisingly deep, delivering all the darts action I could ever want.
