Play Pokemon Coral Version (2022 DEMO v1.2) Online
Game Info
Summary
Pokémon Coral Version surprises me with its smooth 60 fps gameplay, a brand‑new region to wander and a soundtrack composed just for this demo. The world feels alive, packed with optional side areas and events that keep the challenge fresh even for seasoned trainers.
I can pick any of the six original starters from the first two generations, then chase Pokémon from all seven generations, each rendered in beautiful custom art. The battle system finally embraces the Physical/Special split, adds the Fairy type to abilities, and brings in moves from newer generations, all while re‑balancing movepools to feel more like the current games.
Quality‑of‑life upgrades are everywhere: running shoes give a quirky animation, the wardrobe lets me recolor my sprite on the fly, and HMs work without forcing a Pokémon to learn them—just have the badge and the HM. A ridable skateboard with its own jump mechanic adds a playful twist, and the developers promise even more features down the line.
Storyline
Welcome to the Onwa Region, a distant land far from Kanto and Johto, and the backdrop of Pokémon Coral Version. This fan‑made romhack aims to capture the excitement of playing Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal for the first time. As you travel across Onwa you’ll meet a cast of memorable characters, collect the eight Onwa League Badges, and set your sights on the Onwa Pokémon League.
However, not everything is as it seems. Rumors swirl about a band of ruffians who exploit Pokémon for profit, using the creatures in shady money‑making schemes. Uncovering their plot becomes part of the adventure as you strive to become the region’s champion.
