Summary

Othello Millennium brings the timeless strategy of the board game to the tiny screen of the Game Boy Color, but only Japanese players ever got to flip the cartridge. Developed by Tomcat System and published by Tsukuda Original, the title feels like a hidden gem tucked away in the era’s handheld library. The interface mirrors the original’s black‑and‑white tiles, yet the handheld’s palette adds a subtle splash of color that makes each move feel a bit more lively. Because it never saw an official Western release, the game has become a curious footnote for collectors hunting for obscure GBC titles. If you ever stumble upon a copy, you’ll discover a surprisingly faithful digital rendition that captures the quiet intensity of Othello’s tactical battles.
