Summary

NASCAR 2000 brings the high‑octane world of the 1999 Winston Cup Series to the tiny screen of the Game Boy Color. The roster isn’t limited to current stars; you’ll also find Adam Petty’s 1999 Busch Series ride and legendary figures like Richard Petty and Alan Kulwicki cruising alongside the modern field. The game’s reputation holds up – many fans still rank it with NASCAR 98 as the peak of EA Sports’ early NASCAR titles. Even the soundtrack gets a nod, swapping full‑blown tracks for instrumental renditions of Blues Traveler’s *Save His Soul* cuts, giving each race a subtle, rock‑infused backdrop. All of this packs a surprisingly deep simulation into a handheld format, proving that a portable console can still capture the roar of stock‑car racing.
