Summary

In LEGO Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge I guide Pepper Roni as he scours the island for missing Constructopedia pages. Handing a page to a resident triggers a tiny construction project that upgrades the scenery, while careful exploration can also unearth hidden Lego character cards for the attentive.

The bulk of the game feels like a string of mini‑games; each island hides its own collectibles – Castle Island rewards chalices, Adventurers Island shines with red gems, and Ogel Island drops yellow crystals that bump up your score.

Development was chaotic: the original LEGO Island crew was laid off right before release, the licence slipped from Mindscape, and a scrapped Krisalis TV tie‑in prototype was repurposed by Silicon Dreams starting in 1999. Critics were split; IGN called the GBC version “mediocre” with a 5/10 rating, while aggregate scores hovered around the mid‑50s to mid‑70s range.

Storyline

LEGO Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge opens with Pepper delivering a pizza to the Brickster in jail. The Brickster eats the pepper‑filled pizza, melts the bars, escapes, and steals the police helicopter and the Constructopedia, whose missing pages cause buildings to deconstruct. Pepper must retrieve the pages across three worlds.

He fights Brickster Bots with pizzas, later using a boombox to defeat them. After four pages on the main island, Pepper sails to Castle Island, rebuilds the Lions‑Bulls bridge, jousts the Dark Knight, and defeats Cedric the Bull to obtain another page.

Back on LEGO Island Pepper grabs the boombox, then flies to Adventurers’ Island, meets Johnny Thunder and Pippin Reed, stops snakes from stealing gems, solves the Sphinx puzzle, and rides Dr. Kilroy’s Speedster to the Oasis, where he fishes a page from Big Bertha. In the jungle he rides a T‑Rex to free captured dinosaurs and claim the final page.

He trains for space, parachutes onto Planet Ogel after the Brickster hijacks the shuttle, bakes sleepy pizzas with the Brickolinis, climbs a tower, and throws spicy pizzas at the Brickster while dodging bots. He locks the villain in a bathroom and returns to LEGO Island for a celebration.
