Summary

Kirikou is a charming platformer that brings the whimsical world of the 1998 French film Kirikou and the Sorceress to the Game Boy Color. The game captures the film’s bright, folk‑tale aesthetic with colorful sprites and simple yet responsive controls that feel right at home on a handheld. While the levels are straightforward, they sprinkle in clever nods to the movie’s themes of courage and cleverness, rewarding players who explore every nook. It’s a neat example of early‑2000s cross‑media experimentation, offering a bite‑sized adventure for fans of the story and retro platformers alike.
