Summary

Ganbare! Nippon! Olympics 2000 is essentially the Japanese‑market version of International Track & Field 2000, re‑skinned with the official Olympic seal from the Japanese Olympic Committee. The Game Boy Color port carries the full Olympic Games license, meaning every event feels tied to the real‑world competition vibe, even if the hardware limits keep the graphics simple. Famitsu gave it a modest 25 out of 40, reflecting a solid but unremarkable translation of the console experience onto a handheld. For fans of quick, button‑mashing athletics titles, the game offers the familiar sprint, long jump and throwing events, all wrapped in a distinctly Japanese presentation that sets it apart from its Western counterpart.
