Summary

Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge feels like a love‑letter to the arcade classic while nudging the formula into a handheld adventure. The Game Boy Color version stretches the familiar highways and rivers into vertically scrolling stages that still let you peek sideways when the layout demands it, and each climb is peppered with gems, extra lives and handy restart flags. Storyline

In Frogger 2 for the Game Boy Color, the vengeful crocodile Swampy kidnaps the baby frog siblings of Frogger’s girlfriend, Lillie Frog. Determined to rescue them, Frogger and Lillie chase Swampy across a series of worlds, each level bringing them closer to the stolen hatchlings. Swampy eventually reaches space, hijacks a satellite to air a commercial for his own title *Swampy: The Game*, and lures the duo into a rocket that Lillie activates, cornering him inside a space station that returns them to Earth on Halloween.

Back on Earth, Swampy sets up a haunted‑house factory where he plans to turn the baby frogs into a new game. The heroes are trapped in a cage lowered toward a magma pit, but Tad, one of the rescued babies, accidentally takes control of the machinery. His meddling frees Frogger and Lillie, releases the other frogs, and triggers a massive earthquake that destroys the factory and mansion.

The chaos ends with the wreckage exploding, a UFO fleeing the scene, and Swampy wailing as the frogs watch from a nearby hill.
