Summary

Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors mixes a card‑based system with classic turn‑based combat, letting you assemble attack, technique and support cards that act as your fighter’s moves. The Game Boy Color title starts with two modes: a trade‑focused mode where you collect and exchange the in‑game cards, and a story mode that guides you through the main saga from the Saiyan battles right up to the climax of the Buu saga. Finishing the story unlocks a free‑form battle mode, pitting you against random opponents without narrative constraints. After you defeat the game, the roster is fully opened—any character can be placed in any fight, opening wild matchups such as Frieza squaring off against Cell. This flexibility turns the handheld experience into a strategic duel playground beyond the typical DBZ formula.

Storyline

Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors lets you experience the entire DBZ storyline on a Game Boy Color. The campaign begins with the Saiyan Saga and carries you through the Frieza, Cell and Buu arcs, ending at the series finale. Each major arc is represented by a series of side‑scrolling fights that follow the anime’s plot beats.

In addition to the main timeline, the game includes two bonus missions that explore Future Trunks’s alternate timeline. Those extra stages let you battle the Androids and Cell before they threaten the main universe, offering a fresh take on familiar events.
