Summary
Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors turns the Game Boy Color into a strategic card‑dueling arena. With 125 cards split into attack, support and defense types, each fighter brings four core stats—HP, Strength, Ki and Speed—that shape how cards perform and how often you can act.
Before every fight you assemble a 20‑card deck, then battle through distinct attack and defense phases. Speed decides which phase you’re in, while the Gather‑Power card can boost Ki and Strength on the fly. Each character also has a small “limit deck” of up to three permanent cards that become usable after a Gather‑Power trigger, plus a fixed set of basic actions.
The story mode offers 30 battles (plus two unlockable ones), with a saga boss—Frieza, Cell or Kid Buu—every tenth fight. Winning grants a new card, and meeting hidden criteria can unlock extra heroes on the first run and villains on a second playthrough.
Battle Mode pits a single character against an endless stream of opponents in low, mid or high tiers, rewarding experience and rare cards the longer you survive. A multiplayer option lets you trade cards and duel friends, extending the game’s replay value.
Storyline
Dragon Ball Z - I Leggendari Super Guerrieri (often called Legendary Super Warriors) follows the series from the opening of the Saiyan Saga all the way through the conclusion of the Buu Saga. The game’s narrative tracks Goku and friends as they battle each major threat, mirroring the original anime’s progression.
In addition to the main arc, players can experience two bonus storylines that explore the alternate Future Trunks timeline. These extra missions let you relive the desperate fight against the Androids and Cell in a parallel universe. Overall, the storyline offers a comprehensive run through DBZ’s most iconic sagas with a special focus on Trunks’s future.
