Summary

Atlantis: The Lost Empire on the Game Boy Color turns the animated adventure into a compact platformer. THQ handled the publishing while Eurocom Entertainment Software crafted the side‑scrolling levels, keeping the handheld’s limits in mind.

I can switch between four members of the expedition—Milo, the eager linguist; Audrey, the tough mechanic; Molière, the quirky inventor; and Vinny, the charismatic pilot—each bringing a simple but distinct ability to the mix. The game leans on classic jump‑and‑run mechanics, with occasional puzzles that require the right character at the right moment. Despite the tiny screen, the colorful sprites and tight controls capture the spirit of the movie’s underwater quest.

Storyline

In Atlantis: The Lost Empire you embark on a quest to discover the lost civilization, a realm shrouded in mystery and guarded by mythical monsters. The empire’s power hinges on a mighty crystal that, if it falls into the wrong hands, could bring about its destruction. Armed with a submarine and a mysterious book, you set out to locate the hidden city and uncover its secrets. Along the journey you’ll face massive sea‑creatures, navigate fiery volcanoes, and survive a mutiny among the crew. The adventure even introduces a beautiful princess, adding a personal stake to the mission.
