Summary

The Game Boy Color version of Disney’s *Dinosaur* translates the film’s prehistoric adventure into a top‑down, platform‑puzzle experience. You navigate 27 distinct levels that range from scorching lava fields to dense jungles, sheer cliffs, arid deserts and dark caves, all rendered in the handheld’s bright palette.

Six characters from the movie—Aladar, Eema, Url, Zini, Plio and Suri—each bring a unique skill set, from rock‑pushing and tail attacks to swimming, sprinting, jumping, climbing and crushing obstacles. The gameplay revolves around clearing hostile dinosaurs, gathering health‑restoring flowers, and rescuing baby dinos for extra points.

A roster of foes includes Velociraptor, Oviraptor, Albertosaurus, Dryptosaurus, Spinosaurus and Carnotaurus, giving each area a distinct challenge. The cartridge even supports the Game Boy Printer, letting you capture screenshots of your dino‑saving exploits.

Storyline

Dinosaur for the Game Boy Color loosely follows the plot of the movie. It opens on Lemur Island with Aladar, Zini, Suri and Plio living among the lemurs. A sudden meteor shower destroys the island, forcing the four to escape to the mainland. There they run into a massive herd of dinosaurs ruled by the ruthless leader Kron. The game’s narrative centers on their struggle to survive and find a new home.
