Summary

Chicken Run on the Game Boy Color lets you step into Ginger’s feathers and guide her flock to freedom through a clever mix of 2D isometric puzzles and stealthy action. Over twenty bite‑sized levels take you from the sprawling farmyard, where you dodge dogs, cameras and spotlights, to the clanking pie‑making factory, where laser beams and “magic eyes” keep you on your toes. The game rewards cleverness: you can push crates, cut power, or lure chickens with corn to create shortcuts and outsmart each obstacle. Each completed stage hands you a medal from Fowler, which doubles as a password so you can pick up the chicken‑saving quest later. It’s a surprisingly deep, hour‑long puzzle adventure that feels like a handheld version of the movie’s great‑escape spirit.

Storyline

In keeping with the film's story, Chicken Run on Game Boy Color places the player on an English chicken farm where a band of chickens plot their escape. Players guide Ginger and her flock as they dodge the evil Mrs. Tweedy and her oafish husband Mr. Tweedy, who intend to turn the birds into chicken pies, while trying to break out of the egg farm and win freedom.
